Training and capacity building are interrelated. 33 North believes that capacity building allows the local communities to participate in tourism activities using specific skills and know-how.
These skills cannot be developed without a specific training that focuses on the individual skills and community assets.
33 North considers that training and capacity building are the backbone of any successful tourism policy.
Training and capacity building include:
- Hiking trail guiding
- Mountain guiding: mountaineeringÂ
- Wilderness first aid and mountain rescue
- Work at height
- Hospitality: management & services
- Experiential tourism
- Academic projects assistance and follow up with university students
