
A unique tourism initiative that offers participants an immersive experience into the traditional life of shepherds in Lebanon, and designed to connect tourists with the ancient practice of transhumance, involveing moving livestock between seasonal pastures.
1- Cultural Immersion: Participants join shepherds in their daily routines, learning about the traditional methods of livestock management and offering hands-on experiences. This includes activities such as herding, milking, and cheese-making.
2- Educational Aspects:
Workshops and Guided tours will educate participants on the ecological and cultural significance of transhumance, highlighting its role in biodiversity, cultural heritage preservation, and insights into the sustainable practices and challenges faced by modern shepherds.
3- Adventure and Nature:
Taking place in Lebanon’s scenic highlands, we offer opportunities for hikers to explore unspoiled natural landscapes, the tranquility of the mountains and the simplicity of Shepherds' lifestyle.
4- Local Community Engagement:
Fostering interaction with local communities and allowing participants to experience the hospitality and traditions of the shepherding families. Thus, supporting local economies and helps preserve cultural practices.
